In the latest issue of The Mississauga News This Week in an article entitled "Festive summer promised for City Centre" Mayor Hazel McCallion was quoted as saying "Instead of going to downtown, it used to mean going to Toronto, now they can say they're going to downtown, to my Mississauga."
I hate to break this news to you Madame Mayor but Mississauga has no downtown. Not the way other cities(Hamilton, Oakville, Brampton and numerous other cities)have. Downtown in Mississauga? Where exactly is it? I'm still waiting for the planners to make us Mississaugans(Mississauganites?)a downtown. How long should I hold my breath?
